The Java Hotspot (TM) virtual machine provides a multitude of parameters to tune a GC (among several other components) for a specific application and its load. We have explored these optimizations in detail in cooperation with dynatrace Austria and have published it in a <a href=\"http:\/\/dl.acm.org\/citation.cfm?doid=2568088.2568091\">paper<\/a> at the International Conference on Performance Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>You can download our framework <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ssw.jku.at\/General\/Staff\/PL\/gc_config\/VM_Config_Download.zip\">here<\/a> and try it on your own application.
